Hair fall due to straightening?
You need to give your hair a break and consult with a professional about using the proper products on your hair.
I too, straighten my hair...but I also spend a fortune in quality products to make sure my hair is protected. I don't know where you buy your products, and I don't want to be presumptive, but the products they have at drugstores are not the same as salon-quality....not by a mile. This goes the same for color products. They will fry your hair.
You have to use a moisturing shampoo and conditioner, as well as some type of light gel to keep in the moisture and a heat-spray to help resist some of the damage.
Frequent haircuts every 2 months at minimum, will keep your ends healthy.
If you are doing all of this, and your hair is still falling out, certain types of medications and health conditions can cause hair loss.

yes you should stop putting so much heat to your hair, heat does make your hair fall...you might get some results if you stop using it for a long period of time.

Stop ironing it and blow drying it.
Get a nutrient/moisture-rich, repairing shampoo and conditioner and start using it to repair your hair -- and try to stay away from the stress that is being caused to your hair for awhile.

my once thick hair started falling out like mad too. it was such a mess, all over the floor! yuk. i started taking iron vitamins 3 or 4 times a week at night and that helped a lot. do you think maybe you could be low on iron? if you have periods, it's a possibility.
Hair fall due to straightening?
this can be from all the heat, how much you wash it, even brushing it too much.
Dont wash your hair everyday, shampoo every other day, and condition everyday. Let your hair dry instead of blow drying it and then straightening it. theres no reason to use 2 times as much heat. use your straightener on the lowest setting possible.
And maybe try different hairstyles where you do not need to use heat. Try not to straighten your hair so much. If possible just stop using it for a while, and let your hair regain its strength.
