Will black hair dye go out or fade away when you use a straightening iron ?

i want to buy a straightening iron but i'm not sure if my black hair dye will go out or fade away if i use it . has anyone any experience and tell me on what to look if i get one ?

Yes and No! This is because the heat actually lightly burns the hair and lightens it in the process.. Just like when its summer time and your hair gets lighter.. So heat does play a big part in loosing color.. However!! you can apply heat to your hair as long as you do not leave it on too long or use heat on your hair every day.. The higher the heat or temperature, the more the color burns out.. So use heat less frequently and not everyday, aslo keep the heat settings low. If you do not do this, then your hair color will go from jet black to black to off black to deep dark brown and lighter and lighter in a months process.

The flat iron will not fade your black hair, constantly washing your hair or too many chemical styling products will fade your black hair.

Your dye is not going to go away from a flat iron. Although I would suggest that you use some sort of protection on your hair if you use a flat iron. It can really dry out your hair.
