Velcro rollers or straightening iron?

My hair tends to frizz and puff out a bit if I blow dry it, but if I let it dry natural it just drys whichever way it wants to and doesn't look styled in any way. Even though I am a guy my Aunt (who trained to be a hairstylist years ago but gave it up since) is trying to talk me into letting her either trying a straightening iron on my hair or drying it on velcro rollers. She said she thinks the rollers would be better and look less girlish when its dried than the hair straightened with a flat iron. I'm not sure. What do you think, and what's involved in having your hair dried on velcro rollers and how long does it take and last etc? Which lasts longer?

Either one lasts until it is washed out. And depending on what type of style you are going for, they are going to give you two totally different looks. The velcro rollers will give you the fullness in your hair. Probably a lot like you have now, just more "fixed" looking. The flat iron will give you the messier and straighter styles the guys are wearing. Drying your hair on velcro rollers would probably take longer time wise depending on the thickness of your hair.

I would probably do the flat iron because you already know what your hair does with curl in it. Hope this helps!

It takes longer with the rollers and it would add body and puff-which would look feminine. I'd go with the straightening iron but use some straightening product before applying. Use shampoo/conditioner for straightening and then the iron.

if your hair is thick or - like you say- frizzy after blow drying I say you should use the straightening iron (they are easier to use)...

I find that velcro rollers only work well on really thin, straight hair. There is a possibility that you may get them stuck in and cant get them of without cutting your hair (and trust me its happened before and its not a pretty sight)

well, i'd say use straightening irons, as the effect lasts longer, if you just want to dry your hair quickly put a pea sized amount of hair serum all over your hair, root to tip and then dry it as it stops the hair frizzing and also stops the PPOOMMPPHHH from returning to annoy you. this helps with my hair but ya know ima girl. it'll probabbly deffi help with your hair though. i think that guys with straight hair look sooo much better than guys with hair dried in heated curlers. i mean just look at danny from mcfly, he looks really bad now days since hes not been straightening his hair. my ex-boyfriend used heated curlers and it damaged the roots of his hair. I'd say over all go with the straighteners but ALWAYS use hair serum.

Hope this helps x.
