If you have the time... Try large hot rollers. They wont make your hair curly! Just give body. If your hair is naturally curly the body from the hot rollers should hold all day without any product. Hope this helps...

After straightening your hair, I suggest it would be difficult to give it body but you could try hanging your head upside down and blasting it with a hairdryer or you could sleep with it in a bun or something.. That might work, why don't you give it body before you straighten with a hairdryer and then run the straighteners through lightly, that works.

After you straighten it flip your hair down and blow dry it for a few mins while scrunching it with your free hand. That should give it nice body.

if you don't mind spending the money, Aveda salons have a great product that you put into dry hair, that gives it body and volume (it's like 20$). If you want quite a bit cheaper, Sun Silk (you can buy at walmart) has product for flat hair ( the yellow bottles)....you can buy the cream that you put into wet hair. Just put into your hair while wet, blow dry and straighten...it really does give extra body even if you flat iron it.

once uve straightened your hair backcomb your roots you do this by taking a section of hair then combing it underneath in a backwads motion you might then have to resmove the very top layer.
