Well the reason your hair 'poofs' may be from humidity. When the air is saturated your hair will absorb the water making it frizzy. To keep your hair sleek, use a leave-in conditioner and THEN straighten your hair. A lot of products are sold specifically to put on your hair before you straighten it to make it healthy. Then use some mousse to keep it in place without it getting flaky like gel. Hair spray of course is a bonus.

I use herbal essance dangerously straight shampoo and when I straighten my hair after using it and I go out it stays good and straight...it protects it from heat! But be sure ur hair is completly dry and isnt oily because if it is it wont stay straight for very long.

You could try some Oil Sheen spray LIGHTLY all over before leaving the house. Smooth it down with your hands, but don't comb/brush it and keep your hands out of it.

You should go to the hair salon to get it straightened,then it won't get poofy and wavey.Your hair will stay straight until the perminate of the straightener falls out.Hope I've helped!

Use a straightening shampoo and conditioner and once towel dried use a straightening balm. I use Lee Stafford Poker straight products cos they smell like sweets, its very sexy if your planning to meet a guy.
Blow dry your hair with a barrel hairbrush and then straighten.
Some straightners aren't so good though. I have used a few and because of my kinky hair only GHD's have done any good. My hairs straight from curly in 10 mins and stays like it until i wake the next morning. So if you don't have them i'd defo save for them, you can pick em up cheap on ebay.

Yea theres this product by "MATRIX" and its used when you straighten your hair just spray it on, and streighten it and it makes it shiny and smooth.

there are mutiple things you can do, you can either use a better straightener (or use straightening creme if you dont already) and when you are doen add some light gel in the most probelmatic areas, some hair spry would also work. slightly chaing your hair might help as well, if you get really choppy chunky layers it can help, using a product like pantene foaming texurizing mousse with the layers looks really good and can help keep it straight. there are also creams you can buy to add to your hair after you straighten as well that help it stay, i would also recommend some sleek and shine stuff (garnier fructius has some) its like a little mist. the last alternative is getting it chemically straightened, but this is fairly hard on your hair, and needs to redone/ touched up at the roots as your hair grows, also talk to your hairdresser they can reccomend some good options for you, as well if you use straightening shampoo and conditioner it will help it stay straight.

First let me tell you to work with your natural curls. I have curly hair and always wished it was straight and smooth like my sister's, but recently realise that she wished she had curly hair.For the fuzzy or poofy stuff try this. when you wash your hair use alot of the Erbel Essence conditioner, leave it in for three minutes, rinse, but don't rinse all of it out. Then put your hair back into a pony tail if you can, and never blow dry your hair this adds to the puffiness. Good luck! I bet your hair is beautiful and you don't even know it. I never did until my Man told me so over and over. Get you a nice guy that does that and you'll feel great.

I have really frizzy hair too when i straighten it so i put hair oil in it before i straighten it then after I put a little Hairspray in it but not too much because then it gets flaky..

there is a gel called Wella Straightener, you can buy this from hair saloon,it's cost aprox.25鎷? It's quite long procedure,but after that you don't need to use straigthtener anymore. i've done it myself,for last 2 weeks when ever i wash my hair, i just blow dry them, and they are straight in the same time..your hair probably poofy and wavy just coz they are damaged by straightening

heat straightening is only temporary so when it gets slightly damp you hair goes back to its natural state. If its curly dont bother just leave it curly its so much easier or get it chemically straightenend. If your hair has just got a slight wave or is frizzy sebastian creme styler is the best you can buy! its from the salon it costs about 鎷?5-鎷?0 but lasts forever and will make you hair last too!!! i swear by my ghds!!! i do chemically straightening in the salon and i think just use a good product and ghd irons dont bother with chemicals!!!
