Not if you know how to apply it. Yes its chemical but if you leave it on as indicated and then rinse it out completely and wash your hair afterwards it does no harm at all.

If you're not sure which brands are Ok talk to a hair stylist who has experience with those products. A hairstylist who only treats straight hair types usually does not know this stuff.

yes!!!!, it REALLY damages ur hair, and can even make u bald or totally ruin ur hair if the hair stylist puts 2 much solution or doesnt do it right... i know because my aunt is a hair stylist and her friend did that! i want to do that but she wont let me!!

i have just got my hair permanently straight a month back my hair stylist have used loreal products and it has done no damage at all so if u go to da right hair therapist or use da right product then it ll not dont go for da cheap ones.all da best.
