You know, I don't know about how heating hurts your hair and all that, but I'm going to say PERM because it's SO much more convenient than straightening your hair every day... You go to the salon ONCE every SIX MONTHS... I think it's worth it!

PS: If you decide to go with the perm, start using deep-hydrating shampoo %26amp; conditioner about a week or two before... It'll make your hair more likely to withstand the chemical damage.

I'm going to guess getting a perm because it is a one time process that doesnt invove direct heat applied DAILY. If you want to straighten it you could get a Japanese Straightenign Treatment... one go for a while you know. But if you want to straighten your hair without a flat iron let your hair dry part way, take a round brush and a blow dryer on med heat....

Straightening. Perms have acid. Very damaging to the hair. Plus perms are so 80's anyway. Nobody does that anymore.

Get a perm! I had this dilemma two years ago. My hair is naturally really ugly and wavy and I would either have to french braid it when it was wet to get it curly, or straighten it. I hated straightening it, so I decided to get a loose perm and I love it! I just have to scrunch a teeny bit after I shower and it already looks great. Plus, they aren't to expensive (about $125 at a really nice salon) and they last about 9-10 months. Trust me, its so much easier!

DO NOT GET A PERM. my cousin got one and she can hardly do anything with her hair. she hates it. her hair just stays there. and i'm pretty sure you're going to regret it after. but don't straighten every day. maybe every other day. kk?

You have to keep on getting perms every month or so and you still have to straighten it with a flat iron. But it's not as hard as natural hair. I say that you do what you want to do. Research them both and research the pros and cons and whether or not you are going to keep your hair up or not. Only you know that for sure.

straight hair is so not kewl. so many girls do it thinking they look better. but they dont. wavy full hair with volume is what is pretty

id say out of those get a straight perm.... but it probably wont be as straight as straightening everyday. you know? crazy hair damage
