Chemically straightened hair help!?

Hi, im a guy with shoulder length hair which is very thick and often dry/frizzy, making my hair sorta puff out and have odd random curls (especially at the bottom)

so to thin my hair out, and make it straight and soft, without straightening it every day (which seemed to last for a little while, but then after afew hours would frizz again) I thought id go to get my hair chemically straightened at toni and guy

now as im sure u cud guess, this was a very expensve job, even after opting for the cheaper cold straightening option. Now it seems to have worked at the top of my head, generally thining it out, and making it straighter without any work, but im not entirely sure if it worked well enough at the bottum/middle, and dont want to start using straighteners again!

bassically at the ends its still puffing out and becoming 'big', and I think over time, since getting the job done, the top is becoming much the same, is there a reason for this? or way to preventing it!? cheers ~Matt

Chemically straightened hair help!?

I have a ritual, use panthene smooth %26amp; sleek shampoo (green Label) then rinse it really well, then massage in a squirt of panthene smooth %26amp; sleek conditioner, (Never use the 2 in one types they are crap) get a wide toothed comb and comb the conditioner through to the ends

leave for 2 minutes rinse again really well, I blowdry the hair in sections drying the underneath first then the rest with a big round brush then i let my hair cool down, always allow your hair to cool after blowdrying before straightening. I then use the DREADED straighteners, I know you dont want to but it works great this way. the chemical they use in salons is too strong for most hair and so it ends up burned and frizzy. Also the ends of the hair are naturally dry as they are the oldest strands the only solution is too cut them off.

Good luck, give it a try at least!

Chemically straightened hair help!?

Sometimes Making your hair curly and straight with chemicals doesn't alot of hair types will refuse it and it can wash out fast or even turn back to normal the next day!.

i found that if you do straighten it just for a couple of months your hair seems to be alot more subjectable to keeping straight more . Or these are girly produts i use but sliky and staight by sunsilk works quite well and its very cheap. To get your hair less poffy you can only really weigh it down with procucts or straighten it.
