Is there anything i can do/put in my hair so that i spend less time straightening it?

my hair is really think and long. i just cut it into layers and the new cut is taking twice the time to straighten. It takes an hour and a half to to straighten and i just cant spend that much time on my hair anymore. I need a way just to cut down my straightening time....thanks!

You can get it chemically straightened. If your hair is really curly it won't completely straighten it but it will cut down the time you spend on it by about and hour.

Or you can make sure your hair is really dry before you start straightening. They also make products like shampoos and serums to use that are amazing.

OMG!!!!! i nohtis works cus i do this!!! ok like 25 minutes before u go to bed put yr hair in a high ponytail!!! take it out just before u go to bed, brush it ,and go 2 sleep!! then the next day brush yr hair straighten any where it neds it and wa la!!! this will not work on yr bangs!!!! if have any

Frizz ease hair products (serum, spray, ect.) I have SUPER frizzy hair and this helps A LOT

you should use the straightening serum... and on top of that use a shampoo that says for straight hair on it...and when you straighten your hair it should hold for like atlest 2 days.... but what is your nationality ... let me know how it goes...

u can either get a straightening perm, when u get out of the shower blow it straight, or get a better straightener.

try loreal studio line (hot straight). you can buy it at wallmart. use it before you dry your hair. then its gonna be easy to straighten it. good luck.

use biolage heat activated spray. i can get a little pricey and you probably will have to ask for it at a hair salon, but its a life saver.

also, straighten in 3 sections. first, take most of your hair up in a ponytail, leaving the bottom third down, then straighten that part. next, tie the bottom that you've just straightened into a loose ponytail at the base of your neck. next, let down the ponytail that has the unstraightened hair in it and take the top third back up in a pony tail. this will look really weird with the 2 separate ponytails and hair down in between, but it works. straighten the middle section and then tie it into the ponytail on the bottom, then you can let down the top layer and straighten it.

its kinda wierd, but it is so much easier to straighten the thinner layers than all your hair at once.

I'm African American and when I was in college I used my Relaxer on one of my co-workers. I used a Kiddie Perm (Just for Me), not an adult one. Her hair was straight for months!
