Try limit the times you starighten your hair and if you do and can have it on a lower heat.

It is not bad as long as you have a good brand (such as paul mitchell or chi) and must be ceramic plated. On top of a good flat iron, you want to make sure you use a good heat protection product before flat ironing the hair. Something like shine drops from Brocato or gloss drops from Paul Mitchell. Yes yes yes! I used a straighter on my hair for a year,, everyday. It made it sooo frizzy! And its not the type of frizz that's easily managed. So I say if your gonna straighten your hair, only do it about once a week. My hair stylest told me that they were the worst things for your hair because your using so much heat that it damages it.
