When curling hair with a straightening iron would it help using gel or hairspray before curling?

So should I put gel/hairspray before I curl? Obiviously hairspray after....

This for a dancing concert-Have to have my hair in a high ponytail, all gelled back and everything with the ponytail curled. So yeah :)

When it's moist, add the gel. Curl the hair, and hairspray.

Put gel or mousse in your hair while it's wet, that'll keep it from looking crusty but still have more hold. Then hairspray at the end. Hairspray is better for finishing than styling.

dont put gel because that will make her hair wet and wen you curl it . it will burn your hair so what you should do is spray hairspray to the hair your going to curl then curl it .. do that for the whole hair . spray it as you go i recomend treseme.

Apply gel when it is wet and then curl and then pony tail....
